ABOUT DİLEK HANİF

Born in 1962 in Istanbul, Dilek Hanif is one of the most important and well- known Turkish designers as well as being a successful entrepreneur. Her interest in fashion started at a very young age while she was helping with her parents’ textile business. She established her first brand, the Dilek Hanif line, as early as 1990 and opened up her first flagship boutique in Nişantaşı in 2002.

True to her Turkish roots, Dilek Hanif is inspired by Ottoman and Turkish influences. She reflects this eclectic mix in her contemporary style and that is what differentiates Dilek Hanif.

The subtleness can be seen in the exquisite details that she eloquently incorporates in her vast range of colours. Hanif also cleverly plays with different textiles which enhances the sophistication and adds complexity to her designs.

Dilek Hanif is synonymous with a career full of international success merging style with social activities. A true Turkish fashion pioneer, she has built up from scratch a globally renowned brand in the world fashion industry. She is a member of the board of TGSD-Turkish Clothing Manufacturers Association since February 2012.
